Work method:
Cristina works from a humanistic, solution-oriented and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) framework, using pragmatic neuroscience-based tools that change the way people live and work.
She is specialized in expats and executives dealing with complex stress situations and adapting to a foreign culture, work-place and challenging relationships, whilst identifying personalised goals and interventions to address these challenges and create change and growth.
Her therapeutic approach makes use of a variety of tools from the CBT toolbox, focusing on changing unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors, improving emotional regulation and creating skills to solve problematic issues. Her method implies that both psychologist and client work together as a team to identify the problems the client faces, come up with strategies and homework exercises to address them and create positive, long-lasting solutions.
Cristina is also trained to identify the impact difficult and high-conflict, entitled, antagonistic personality styles have on human relationships, mental health and societal expectations. She focuses in therapy on finding solutions for the problems related to surviving toxic relationships, either in the business environment and work settings or couples and family settings.
