Different types of psychotherapyThere are different models of psychotherapy. Many psychotherapies consist of conversations between a patient, a couple or a family and a psychotherapist. The psychotherapy model refers to the theoretical background or to the way the psychotherapist conceives human cognition, emotion and behaviour. There are several explanations for psychological functioning. These models supply us with handles to treat psychological suffering or enhance the life quality.
